There is nothing more exciting than Lululemon‘s new announcement. Last week, they launched a revolutionary performance yarn technology on sweats by concealing them in a second. While vanishing sweat stains visually, it also comes with more professional moisture management and provides a lightweight feel. This technology was developed by the platform under Lululemon, ShowZero, who had created a golf collection in 2024, as well as the famous tennis athlete Frances Tiafoe, the Lululemon Ambassador. Another secret is about fabric craftsmanship. Most of the fabrics that come with sweat-wicking are made of matte synthetic fibers to reduce the color changes on fabrics when humans sweat. In the production of matte fibers, it requires delustrant containing titanium dioxide, a basic composition that can eliminate glosses on fabrics. For example, matte polyester contains 2%-5% titanium dioxide normally. However, for sweat-concealing fabrics, it contains about 10%, which makes it able to conceal the color changes faster during sweating. At the same time, it reflects ultraviolet and infrared rays, which makes it anti-UV and meet the demand of long-time outdoor activities.
