The Japanese Fiber & Product Converting Company-Teijin Frontier Co. Ltd announced on Dec. 18th, the success of development of Microft™ MX, a latest material that made from highly-deformed cross-section multifilament yarn*. Combing the nylon’s abrasion-resistance and color development capabilities, and polyester’s water absorption, quick-drying properties and shape stability, the yarn is actually a breakthrough in developing the combination of nylon and polyester’s functionalities.
(PS: Multifilament yarn-a long yarn formed by tens of single yarns or fibers then twisted into one single yarn)

The renowned material and technology company Hologenix unveiled the CELLIANT Print, a printing technology using the fine mineral material CELLIANT that able to apply to the most kinds of fabrics, including eco-friendly fabrics. The technology has undergone the washing tests for over 50 times, is suitable for long-time use. It is an innovative printing solution for textile and clothing suppliers. The famous global sports brand, Under Armour, has applied this kind of printing technology in their activewear collection, UA RUSH™, which is featured for its biggest selling point, sweat-resistance.

According to POP Fashion, a professional fashion trending website, along with the expandsion of activewear, one of its segment, fightwear, has become a trendy product on this market. There are several styles, types and brands that worth focusing on as following, such as men’s compression leggings with strong visual designs, active bras, MMA shorts…,etc.
Arabella shares the same opinion and is following this trend as we recently we received more inquiries about fightwear such as Jiu Ji-tsu shorts, compression rash guards for boxing and fighting. It is an important trend in activewear that we will continue to dig and focus on and explore.

The global sportswear brand DETHCALON announced the acquisition of Germany-based outdoor fashion and equipment brand Bergfreunde, which is an online retailer established in 2006 and has expanded their business in Denmark, France, Finland, Italy, and more. The acquisition aims to expand the Europe’s high-end outwear market but also strengthen DETHCALON’s current outwear product line.
