The Paris Olympic Game will start on July 26th (which is this Friday), and it is a significant event not only for athletes but also for the entire sportswear industry. It will be a terrific opportunity to test the real performances of the new collections. As a manufacturer, in addition to our sports games, we also need to focus on our industry changes in our industry. 

Actually, Arabella spent significant time with one of our clients who was keen to do branding for his sportswear in the past 2 weeks and we learned a lot from him. Our client reminded us that it is always important to keep our eye on our markets and trends. (As for our trip with this client, there will be another story we are going to talk about)

Fabrics

 

On August 18th, Hyosung announced that they will showcase more regen BIO elastane collections at the upcoming exhibition in NYC, including the new regen BIO, regen BIO+ and regen BIO Max. Their aim is to replace traditional fuel-base spandex. Except that, they are planning to showcase more certificated recycled spandex collections, as well as more apparel and fabric made from polyester and nylon, to offer multiple choices to fashion brands and manufacturers.

Brands

 

Reebok is debuting a Y2K-themed women activewear collection with the lifestyle brand Juicy Couture. The collection will include 8 sports apparel items and 5 sneakers, featuring Juicy Couture’s signature velvet and rhinestone retro style.

The collection will be available online on July 24th in Reebok’s official website.

Accessories

 

YKK London Showroom announced Stephanie Daley as the winner of the 2024 YKK Fashion Accessories Design Competition. The theme of her design is “Future Terrains” features a detachable outdoor jacket combing backpack that utilizes zipper functionality., which impressed the judging panel a lot. She has successfully integrated the style of outdoor luggage and clothing zippers, considering both practicality and aesthetics.

Her collection will be showcased at the YKK London Showroom this September.

Trend Reports

 

POP Fashion has released a trend report on the craftsmanship details of retro sportswear for women based on the recent characteristics of new products from various brands. There are a total of 6 trendy details: raw tailored rolled edges, streamlined structural segmentation, color block splicing, faded distressing, ruched elastics, and deconstructed seam zippers. Among them, two key directions worth paying attention to are streamlined structural segmentation and color block splicing.
