After the tour of ISPO Munich, Arabella got back with much new observation and fortune from our old and new friends that we met at the exhibition in Germany. As the last ISPO that was hosted in Munich, this time we got to meet more new, interesting trends and activities. We will write another journal for you to show more details in ISPO Munich.
Today, let’s take a glance at our industry and see more news that might lead the future of the activewear market first.
Colors
(Dec 4th)
The global color institution Pantone announced the color of the year 2026 as “Cloud Dancer”, which is a light and pure white that symbolizes people’s longing for tranquility, clarity and creative space. Even though over 32% of people speculated that it might be green considering the popularity of bio-based and nature, white still leads more broadly because of its simplicity that provides people with concentration and peace, as well as the fact that it is one of the key options in neutral colors. Except that, the color might follow the market trends of bio-based and classic wool fibers.

From Arabella’s perspective, “Cloud Dance”, as a white with versatility, can easily be styled in active wear. Along with people’s interests in trail running and natural fabrics, it may be widely utilized in running wear such as ultra-light jackets or liner shorts, or leisure wear made with animal wool.
Fabrics
(Nov 30th)
The global innovative insulation material company PrimaLoft has debuted their latest thermal material UltraPeak, which applies architectural structure to strengthen and elevate the level of their thermal-regulation. The material is made with 100% recyclable fibers. By taking their exclusive P.U.R.E, a low-emission sustainable manufacturing process, it sets up a new benchmark of high-performance and sustainability.
Brands
(Dec 5th)
US Outdoor Brand Columbia debuts “The Endor Collection”. Including trench coats and vests, jackets, pullovers, tops and waterproof trackpants, this collection is inspired by the movie Star Wars: The Return of the Jedi. They utilized their exclusive technologies like Omni-Heat Infinity thermal regulation, Omni-Tech for waterproof regulation, Omni-MAX for shockproof technology and Omni-Grip for anti-slipping.
Patterns
(Dec 1st)
Along with the consumers’ exhaustion of fast-fashion and longing for self-expression, pattern trends show a balance of familiarity and innovation. People start to explore natural transformation from the macro universe to exquisite substance. There are 2 themed trends that are worth focusing on: oriented-aesthetic and gentle icy flowers.
The end-year sale normally not only brings out best-seller products for each brand, but also makes a conclusion of market trends. According to the new debut from most top activewear brands, we can find 3 macro trends representing the year of 2025.
Let’s check out new collection this week and see how these features display on them.
